The story mode can be quite boring, and since the fights are incredibly simple, you'll start to understand why Saitama is so bored at all times. Gameplay: The gameplay is way too simple. It's not like in the Ultimate Ninja games where everything is in harmony, characters, and scenery alike. It just doesn't look right, and the characters feel out of place. It doesn't really have bad graphics, but the visual aspect is mostly unpleasant.
Graphics and visuals: As previously mentioned, this is a tough one. But if you're not really into the series, you should skip this one and read the manga or watch the cool anime. Let's be honest, if you're a One-Punch Man fan, chances are you're not going to miss the chance to play a game about it. There are too many characters missing as the game only covers the first part of the anime and manga and the fights are oddly balanced. The visuals are all over the place, with nice-looking anime characters fighting in a semi-realistic environment. Sure, you have to give credit to the developers for figuring out One Punch Man into a game, but that's not enough to make it a good game. It has some good things going for it, but it just doesn't feel alright. If we're to rank this game in the same scales the Hero Association use, ranging from C to S, One-Punch Man: A hero Nobody Knows it would probably be among the top of the B list. And the fights don't really compare to Dragon Ball Fighter Z fights, but developer Spike Chunsoft Gets some credit for adapting something as complicated as One Punch Man into no other genre than a fighting game. It's not nearly as complete or developed in the story mode as Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. That, and considering that this is actually the first real game for the series, we have to say they did most things right. One game, one punchĮven with the rising popularity of One-Punch Man, we all know it's still not in the same league as Naruto, One Piece or Dragon Ball. Will our hero be able to reach the top of the Hero Association rank? We'll see about that. We'll take missions from different characters as we proceed and unlock upgrades for our hero. So the game mechanics are pretty standard, like in most anime games, where we'll have some sort of story mode with elements of RPG. We'll create our own hero, and advance through the story with it. Now, while playing a game about an almighty character would be pretty boring, we'll play with a customized character. Saitama, the protagonist, is pretty much the most powerful hero around, but since he's not doing it for fame he didn't even know about the association and nobody really knows him. That's where the game gets interesting though.
Heroes can rank up by completing missions and tasks, but ultimately it also depends on popularity. Divided by range, these heroes are cataloged depending on their abilities and heroic activities. In this universe, it's not rare to see monsters attacking the cities and people, so they created a Hero Association to fight the evil menace. He's pretty much submerged in a dull lifestyle, and even though he's the strongest hero, nobody really knows him. But as time passes he gets really bored, as now there are no challenges in life, no threats, he starts losing all his emotions. Now he's such power that he can defeat any enemy with just one punch. He trained every day until he lost all his hair and became bold. One-Punch Man tells the story of a guy who wanted to be a hero for fun.
